Salvaged Plant Stand

My husband saved this old plant stand just as it was about to go in the garbage (shame on my sister-in-law for trying to throw it away!).  I must admit, it has definitely seen better days.  Nothing a little spray paint and some fresh flowers won't cure though.

I cleaned it up really good and went to town with some paint.  30 minutes and two cups of coffee later - voila!

She insisted that she be in the picture. 

What do you think?  A little better, eh?  I am worried about the pots blowing over/off if we have a storm again, so I need to come up with a way to ground them.  I might wire them to the stand through the hole in the bottom to keep them in place. 

The biggest challenge for me will be keeping these flowers alive.  I do not have a green thumb at all.  Glad I got pictures of them while they were beautiful and alive, because it probably won't last long!
